Rowthiram is just another mindless action masala, which is more torture than fury.
It's the meandering script, the trite dialogues and one-dimensional characters that wreck the pace. Add to that enormous plot-holes, and you have general mayhem. Jiiva's Rowthiram had it all, but somehow director Gokul’s story and direction fails to impress. The first 10 minutes of the film is terrific, but peters out, as the film starts dragging.
Rowthiram suffers due to lack of originality and a proper script. The climax is not convincing for a film which is basically mass masala. At 2 hours 45 mints, it drags big time.(more)

Mokka film.. Jiiva holds the film together with his acting skills.. Shriya Sharan as usual wasted in her role. Overall apart from some comedy scenes and songs, the movie as a whole is a disappointing watch. (more)
