Faithful Remake

It is a little difficult to evaluate Sathya as a standalone product if you have watched the original. While you approve of the maker's intent to be faithful to the original, the problems that I had with the original remain in the Tamil version. While the big twist works, the last twenty minutes is d...(more)

A riveting one

What makes the simple premise of the film a riveting one is its racy screenplay with ample twists in regular intervals and mysterious characterisations which add to the overall curiosity associated with the story from the very first scene. (more)

Storywriter Adivi Sesh needs to be applauded for creating a watertight script as such. But one feels the overall execution could have been a tad better with such a ...(more)

A fairly engaging thriller that fails to work completely and ends as a mediocre remake

Despite having a promising plot by Adivi Sesh, Pradeep falters big time with his poor casting, as Sibiraj never emotes, and Varalakshmi emotes more than required. Besides, with poorly written dialogues and a dragged screenplay in the second half, Sathya is a pale shadow of super engaging Kshanam. (more)

Arun Sundar

I remember watching this film first day itself. While it pales with respect to the original version in terms of thrills and screenplay, the director managed to do a competent job.The original version by itself had an average story. And it was disappinting that no improverisation was done in Tamil ve...
