Bare Minimum Entertainment
It does keep providing some laughs on the go. The type of jokes that you do not recollect the next minute. Sivakarthikeyan's makeover as the nurse looks credible. The stylists have done a real good job. For a role that runs almost throughout the film, Sivakarthikeyan has done a commendable job in not turning it into a caricature. (more)

Remo is a technically sound film. Watch it for Sivakarthikeyan
Remo will certainly appeal to its target audience, and Sivakarthikeyan is charming enough to carry the whole film on his shoulders. It's a cute romantic comedy which is enjoyable and vibrant. A wafer thin story is the biggest negative in Remo. Performances, technicalities, and promotions have managed to camouflage this weak link in the movie effectively. But if only more care was taken in the story and screenplay department, the film would have emerged as a better product. End of the day, Remo offers what majority of moviegoers expect when they enter into cinema hall - ENTERTAINMENT. (more)

The problem starts when the plot stalls itself with flimsy and cliche sequences, with a storyline that has been presented over the years in too many forms, the one thing that the average viewer would look for is innovation but suffers due to lack of solid entertainment.(more)

Remo gives an all-new dimension to stalking. As its lead actor puts it, there's no problem in stalking as long as 'your love is pure'. Not sure what common people would make out of it. We leave it to you to decide.(more)

Heroine worship
And what to make of the dreadfully miscalculated scene where SK, having decided he no longer needs to be Remo, attempts to burn an effigy of the nurse? The "leave your brains at home" injunction while watching these movies is one thing. Utter thoughtlessness, quite another. (more)
