Passable Entertainer
Chandi Veeran is definitely a much better and improved effort from Nayyandi. But it is nowhere close to the standard of the director�s first 2 films. The film actually has a lot of similarities to Kalavani, most notable being the characterization of the villain and the climax. But the refreshing charm of the director�s debut vehicle is hardly to be seen.(more)

Chandi Veeran has its moments and a strong, relevant social angle to keep us interested
After a slow start, the film keeps us hooked to a larger extent in the first half with the help of humour. The segment showcasing Pongal village games is pretty entertaining.(more)
