A Must Watch
24 is a great mix of science fiction, fantasy, action, romance and family drama. This heady concoction could have been a dreadful mess, were it not for writer-director Vikram Kumar. Vikram Kumar had worked on this script for almost a decade and the final output clearly shows the level of care he has taken in immaculately sculpting it. Vikram Kumar's clever writing never deviates from the main thread even in comedy scenes and songs. A script like this is a tight rope walk. The inventiveness of time-travel could wear out after an hour or so in to the movie. The director succeeds by keeping the audience hooked from start to finish(more)

A Beautiful and Brilliant show of Time
'24' is a beautiful product of team work. Cinematographer Tirru's visuals, Rahman's apt music, art direction and VFX - all these intangible crew members have contributed equally to uplift the film. The Research lab set that includes a lot of precautionary facilities created by the scientist with some beautiful designs in it including a multi-purpose cradle for the kid. Speak volumes about the brilliant efforts of Art Director duo Amit and Subrato Rao. (more)

24 with all its qualities is a step in the right direction for Tamil cinema
24 is all about Suriya. Every emotion is portrayed in his point of view; from love to comedy to pain to revenge, it all comes under his coverage as he plays three important roles in the film. As a viewer you feel happy as he patiently communicates them to the audience with utmost sincerity. Special mention to his 'Athreya' avatar. It is an experience and it is best understood by experiencing it.(more)

A well-executed intelligent movie
�24� is undoubtedly the show reel of Suriya, the film belongs to him. Be it the innocent Sethuraman, monstrous Athreya or charmer Mani, Suriya has given his heart and soul for all the three characters. The versatility in Suriya's body language and mannerisms are huge plus for the film. Among the three characters, Athreya is a complete show stealer while Mani scores in the later part of the second half, where he equally uses brain and brawn. Overall, �24� is a good attempt from Vikram Kumar and it is a must watch. (more)

After a series of indifferent films (and performances), Suriya gets his mojo back in Vikram Kumar's expensive, out-of-the-box, time-travel thriller 24. Vikram Kumar believes that the star comes after the script. I can't remember the last time a star vehicle was so meticulously, so inventively written the scenes move like moves on a chessboard. Bollywood, you just got a terrific film to remake!
This is easily one of the best thrillers made in Kollywood, and perhaps even in India as well. It is also the BEST time travel flick made in our country. A big salute to Vikram K Kumar for his taut direction and his defiance in not making his hero a superhero!(more)
