Ivan Vera Maathiri - An Action Film that does not defy logic
Saravanan has cleverly mad a film that is a complete contrast to his debut film. Though IVM is not a path breaking effort the young man needs to be credited for making a hero centric film that does not have the usual heroism involved. The leading man hardly speaks forget the punch dialogues!!! The first half is crisp and neat. (more)

'Ivan Veramathiri' is different indeed, though reckonable.
This movie is all about questioning injustice. But the difference lies in the uniqueness employed. Far from the rigmarole slapping and punching, 'Ivan Veramathiri' is an intellectual and meticulous plan to question the wrong and standing up for the right.(more)

A commercial entertainer worth a watch.
Saravanan takes up the opening moments to set up the premise effectively for the audience to buy into an ordinary individual turning into a vigilante. The scenario and the dialogues which touch a nerve with the audience play their part in establishing the film's agenda. Some of it is almost Shankar-esque. (more)

A commercial movie with a social message
Director Saravanan has tried hard to write a screenplay to churn out a message-oriented movie with commercial ingredients. His screenplay manages to win audience appreciation for his attempt. Though there are minus points in the narration, well-written scenes and dialogues effortlessly make audience sit till the end (more)

Ivan Veramathiri is implausible
Ivan Veramathiri has a message which is relevant and urges our youth to take on the system, even if you are a common man! The plot is taken from a recent incident that took place in a city Law College when some students with political connections went on a rampage that resulted in the death of three students.(more)
