PremRatanDhanPayo Trailer Review – Prem is back but his charm is not!

The trailer for the much-awaited film PremRatanDhanPayo, collaboration between Salman and his first director SoorajBadjatiya is out and even though it boosts of grandeur, it fails to impress and it gives away nothing to the audience. The duo is famous for Salman’s biggest films like Maine PyaarKiya, Hum Aapke Hain Kaun and Hum SaathSaath Hain, which have not only appealed to bhai fans but have gained massive family audience in the past under the Rajshri banner.

Salman plays Prem, the prince of a palace in maybe Banaras and the trailer starts by Salman telling us that “Main Wapas Aa Gaya” and that’s pretty much the only dialogue in the trailer. Though we see beautiful shots of the palace, colorful interiors, dancing women, celebrations and family difference, all the elements we see in a Rajshri production but something was missing. Or it’s just that, the shift from Chulbul Pandey to Prem is something indigestive.

The film might be a visual extravaganza but may lack a new story or good content and that’s why maybe the trailer is not so striking. Even the music looks a typical Rajshri with all the “ninisasa” mode. The film also stars AnupamKher, Sonam Kapoor, Neil Nitin Mukeshand releases in theaters on 12^th November, 2015 just around Diwali! Will it be more than a visual treat is one question that lingers the mind after the trailer and one has to just wait to watch some other promos.
