Award-winning Masaan to release in India on July 24

Neeraj Ghaywan’s debut feature "Masaan", which won two prestigious awards at the Cannes International Film Festival earlier this month, will release in India on July 24. 

The film, which stars Richa Chadha, Vicky Kaushal, Shweta Tripathi, bagged the acclaimed International Federation of Film Critics (FIPRESCI) in the Un Certain Regard category and the Most Promising Newcomer award for the director, at the recently concluded festival.

The film is jointly produced by Manish Mundra (Drishyam Films), Macassar Productions, Sikhya Entertainment and Phantom Films.


The film follows the journey of a group of people living in Varanasi, which reserves a cruel punishment for those who play with moral traditions.
