'PK' crosses Rs.100 crore in China
After making waves at the Indian box office, Aamir Khan's 'PK' has struck gold in China by amassing a massive $15.94 million since its release. The film released in China on May 22 in around 4500 screens. The film has crossed the 100 crore mark on its 16th day (June 6). It has collected Rs. 101.81 cr till Saturday.
"The overseas box office reported for 'PK' so far is $42.67 million and counting. The box office for China is currently at $15.94 million," reported a source.
The film also stars Sanjay Dutt, Anushka Sharma and Sushant Singh Rajput. 'PK', produced by Vinod Chopra Films and Rajkumar Hirani Films released worldwide on December 19, 2014. The film is a huge blockbuster hit in India and is the highest grossing Bollywood film till date.
Incidentally, Aamir has been a part of all top three highest international grossers for an Indian film -- 'PK', 'Dhoom 3' and '3 Idiots'.
