Amit Sadh to pair opposte with Sonakshi Sinha in Akira

A R Murugadoss’s next Akira, Sonakshi Sinha will be freshly paired with Kai Po Che’s Amit Sadh. Amit’s role is being kept under wraps for now, but it is reliably learnt that he plays more than Sonakshi’s titular character’s love interest. 

Amit, though tight-lipped about his role, reveals, “Let’s just put it this way. This is my first role where I don’t kill anyone nor get killed. It’s my first romantic role and I am having a ball shooting with Sonakshi.

Akir is a thriller, is currently on floors here and is produced by Fox Star Studios. “Akira” will also feature Sonakshi’s father and veteran actor Shatrughan Sinha in an important role.

The movie highlights a strong social message and it focusses on the safety of women, the burning issue which the country is currently facing. ‘Akira’ is Murugadoss’s first original script in Hindi.
