Gautham Menon Banned from Telugu 

Ultra-confident Gautham Menon is coming under lots of pressure these days. So, what is causing the usually casual director to lose his cool...

Recently, Telugu producer council had issued a ban on Gautham Menon's for Neethane Ponvasantham Telugu until he settles the payment for Telugu producer, Bellamkonda Suresh. To give some background, the producer walked out of the NPV Telugu project demanding to repay the advance payment after Gautham Menon flipped on his commitment by changing the hero from Ram to Nani and from AR Rahman to Ilayaraja. The influential producer worked with the Telugu council to issue a ban on Gautham. So, the shooting of Tamil version is progressing while Telugu has stopped for now, reports the production team members.

Also, the hat-trick failures of Ekk Deewana Thaa (VTV Hindi), Nadunisi Naaygal as director and Veppam as Producer have greatly affected his marketability across languages. It has cast dark shadow on his ongoing Neethane Ponvasantham (Tamil and Telugu) and other pipeline projects including Vijay starrer Yohan, National Award targeting Malayalam movie, Hindi remake of Vettayadu Vilayadu. All these speculations and media backlashes have finally made Gautham blow off steam in social media.
