Shamitabh First Week Box Office Collection

Amitabh Bachchan, Dhanush, Akshara Haasan starrer "Shamitabh" hit the screens on Feburary 6. The film which received good reviews, has failed to work at the box office. It was hugely promoted by the film's star cast Amitabh Bachchan and Dhanush but that did not attract the audiences to the theatres. The film has minted Rs. 19 cr in its opening week.

Saturday - Rs. 4.75 cr

Sunday - Rs. 5 cr

Monday - Rs. 1.85 cr

Tuesday - Rs. 1.50 cr

Wednesday - Rs. 1.30

Thursday - Rs. 1.10

Total - Rs. 19 cr

The film directed by R. Balki was released in around 1100 screens across India. The film did not get a great opening on its release day and raked in only Rs.3.50 crore but it picked up business on Saturday and Sunday by cashing in Rs.9.75 crore on these days.
