First Look of Karan Johar in Bombay Velvet
The first look of Karan Johar from the film Bombay Velvet has been revealed. Karan Johar plays the villain in in Bombay Velvet. His character name is Kaizad Khambatta.
After releasing the startling first looks of Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma, the makers have unveiled Karan Johar's look in the film. The usually funny and entertaining director looks suave, mean and intense as the antagonist.
Bombay Velvet is Karan Johar's first tryst with a full fledged role as an actor. The director plays a debonair businessman in the film.
Bombay Velvet directed by Anurag Kashyap is an adaptation of Gyan Prakash's book Mumbai Fables and narrates the story of how the city became a metropolis against the backdrop of love, greed, violence and jazz music. The film tells the story of a boxer, Johnny Balraj, and an aspiring jazz singer, Rosie, and how their hopes and dreams collide with their individual realities.
The film stars Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Karan Johar in lead roles with Kay Kay Menon, Siddharth Basu and Manish Choudhary appearing in supporting roles. The film is scheduled for release on May 15, 2015.
