Shamitabh Trailer Review - Intriguing and unconventional

The much anticipated trailer of Shamitabh is out and it looks Wow! R Balki doesn’t give away much about the movie but it sure is going a very out of the league phenomenon with the genius Big B and the ever-experimental Dhanush coming together. 

“Shamitabh” is all about movies and the love for it! It takes you through a cinematic journey of how a dreamer dreams, how a fan loves and how a star is made. Officially speaking, it is a film about the birth of a big star and the smoke screen that was created to fulfill a dream. An ode to the joy of being part of the cinema industry, this film is a myriad of every emotion we experience whilst watching great cinema.

As interesting as the cast, is the title – Dhanu-SH-AMITABH-Bachchan and how well they played around with it! Amitabh Bachchan is back after a long time and what way to do it. He seems incredible with his style and swag and has a stunning screen presence in the trailer! One just wonders how this man does it every single time. After Raanjhanaa, he has emerged as a heartthrob and looks really promising in Shamitabh. People are crazy for him down south, and the rest of India has only good words to say about him. Akshara Haasan, the daughter of veteran Kamal Haasan makes her debut and seems very natural and beautiful! 

The music is funky, super cool and very very catchy. The ‘Piddly’ track has already become a chartbuster! The very evident fact which comes across from the trailer is the brilliance behind the camera and how well it is edited! It gives a very fresh and classy feel to the movie. The dialogues are going to be awesome which are predicted by some super fun glimpses. One such bit is where Bachchan says – “Scotch main, paani wo, mixing….Hai koi paani jo chadti hai whishky ke bina?”! 

We’ll have to wait for Feb 6th to know for sure if it’s going to be the coolest movie of 2014!
