Aamir’s brilliance combined with Rajkumar Hirani’s geniusness is tried and tested success formula. Raju beautifully narrates the story of an alien who comes onto earth and raises very basic questions which no one really thought about. It’s the perfect mix of commercial cinema and good content.

 

2. Happy New Year

Happy New Year is the perfect movies for masses! With loads of drama, comedy, action, romance and suspense , it has the right blend for a typical Bollywood masala. The grandness of SRK and the locations were a win win combination for Farah Khan!

 

3. Kick

Kick is a blockbuster for Salman Khan fans keeping in mind his last few films! Even with its obvious plot holes, it binds the audience till the end of the film and gives them quite a lot of things to cheer about! Nawaz again is classy as villain!

 

4. Bang Bang

Bang Bang was the most stylish movie of 2014.But except style it lacked pretty much everything. However, Hrithik’s dance moves and his sizzling chemistry with the stunning Katrina gathered a huge response.

 

5. Ek Villain

The movie gained great popularity among the romantic youth of India. Riteish Deshmukh villainous act and the wonderfully crafted songs were the highlights of the film and also the prime reasons for getting a great response at the box office.

 

Critics

 
1. Haider

Haider was a movie of pure class. It was beautiful to look at, wonderful to listen to and brilliant to absorb to! It is certainly one of the best movies ever made in Bollywood and leaves you with thoughts to be taken home and ponder upon.

 

2. Queen

With Kangana’s exceptional performances as Rani, amazing music from Amit Trivedi and the most amusing story telling by Vikas Bahl, Queen emerged as the most feel good movie of 2014!

 

3. Ugly

Ugly is so dark and gripping that even if you do not like what’s happening, you can’t ignore it. Some part of you knows that you are absolutely thrilled by it. Anurag Kashyap with incredible detailing, characterization and script takes your breath away and fills you with some very extraordinary afterthoughts.

4. Filmistaan

Filmistaan brought together a world where Indo-Paks exists together for the love of cinema! This very fresh movie not only makes you laugh, it gives you an opportunity to see what could have transpired if Indo-Pak were a single unit! This extraordinary story is helped significantly by some delightful performances by the lead.

 

5. Citylights

 CityLights dazzle with some stellar performances by the lead pair and hard-hitting filmmaking. Hansal Mehta hits the audience with the harsh reality of the world of how a man gets lost in the cogwheels of the city.
