Deepika Padukone shoots for Bajirao Mastani

The shooting of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's most ambitious period drama has already begun and is progressing at a brisk pace. Ranveer Singh and Priyanka Chopra who play the lead roles have already started shooting for their portions. The other leading lady Deepika Padukone had joined the team for the shoot recently.

Deepika who plays the role of Mastani in the film had joined the sets for a two day shoot before leaving to Maldives for her New Year vacation. Apparently, Deepika got nostalgic shooting with Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Ranveer Singh after a good two years. The trio had earlier teamed up for Ram-Leela. Ranveer and Deepika’s chemistry was loved in Ram Leela and the expectations from Bajirao Mastani are also very high.

Both, Deepika and Ranveer will be seen in a different avatar. While Ranveer has gone bald for his role, Deepika has also undergone look tests. Deepika also did workshops and narrations prior and then shot for two days for the film. It was a key scene in the film and the shoot went very well. Her shooting will now start full-fledged from January.
