PK crosses 50 crore mark in just 2 days
PK one of the hugely anticipated films this year, hit the screens on December 19. The film has received raving reviews from all quarters. Aamir Khan and Rajkumar Hirani combo have proved yet again, they can work wonders at the Box Office. The strong positive word of mouth has helped to boost up the collections further at the Box Office.
PK Opening Day Collection
Aamir Khan starrer PK had collected around Rs. 26.63 crores on its opening day. Aamir Khan's "PK", which is the last big release of 2014, was expected to become the biggest opener of the year, but the film has managed to only get to the fourth position. PK has recorded the 4th highest opening day collection this year.
Shahrukh's Happy New Year (Rs. 44.97 cr), Ajay Devgn's Singham Returns (Rs. 32.09 cr) and Hrithik Roshan's Bang Bang (Rs. 27.54 cr) hold the first three positions respectively for the highest opening day collections this year.
PK has however managed to beat the opening day collection of Salman Khan starrer Kick which has minted Rs. 26.40 crore on Day 1.
PK has failed to beat the record of Aamir's previous release Dhoom 3 which had collected Rs. 36.22 crores on its opening day.
PK crosses 50 crore mark
The film collection had increased on its second day, thanks to the positive word of mouth. PK had earned Rs. 30.34cr on its second day. The collection of both the days sum up to Rs. 56.97 cr.
PK had done extremely good business at the overseas market as well.
