Bombay Velvet release date confirmed

'Bombay Velvet' starring Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma in lead roles is one of the highly anticipated project directed by Anurag Kashyap. The film is scheduled for release on May 2015. The makers have now officially announced the release date of the film. Bombay Velvet is set to hit the screens on May 15, 2015.

The film initially slated for release on November 28, 2014 and was later pushed to May 2015 due to extensive VFX work. 

‘Bombay Velvet’ is based on historian Gyan Prakash’s book ‘Mumbai Fables’. The period drama has Ranbir Kapoor playing a street fighter who goes on to become the manager of a jazz club by the same name. Anushka plays a top jazz singer from the 1960s. Raveena Tandon and Karan Johar are also part of the cast. Bombay Velvet is co-produced by Phantom Films and Fox Star Studios.
