Ajay Devgn To Do A Cameo In Fitoor

After the success of Kai Po Che (2013), director Abhishek Kapoor and UTV Motion Pictures have paired up again and are back with their next, Fitoor. The film stars Aditya Roy Kapoor, Rekha and Katrina Kaif in lead roles.

The film is an adaptation of Charles Dickens’ novel, Great Expectations. The movie depicts the relationship between three characters: a young Kashmiri boy named Noor (Aditya); his muse Firdaus (Katrina) and the mercurial Begum (Rekha). Aditya plays the protagonist based on Pip. 

Ajay Devgn has been approached for an important cameo role in the film. His character his based on the convict Abel Magwitch, who befriends young Pip and returns a favour done by the boy many years later as his secret benefactor. Ajay Devgn has reportedly given his nod to work in the film but is yet to sign on the dotted lines.  

Fittor is expected to go on floors later this month in Mumbai. It is slated for release in 2015. The film will be shot at various locations in north India, including Kashmir and Delhi, as well as an international destination.
