Daawat-e-ishq Preview: 5 reasons to watch the film
Ameet Bhuvan
Habib Faisal has made his mark both as a strong writer and as a wonderful director with films like Do Dooni Paanch and Ishaqzaade. Teaming up with his favorites Yash Raj and Parineeti once again, he brings us Daawat-e-Ishq, a film promising some lovely food and love. Is this film worth your time this Friday? We say yes and here is why.
1. Habib Faisal
Do Dooni Chaar remains one of the finest portrayals of middle class life in recent times. Band Baaja Baraat recast the quintessential love story into a new mold. With every film Habib has brought the dreams and struggles of small time India alive on the big screen. Daawat-e-Ishq seems all set to be another feather in his already shining cap. We can’t wait enough.
2. Parineeti Chopra
The other PC in the industry, she has slowly but surely grown into a formidable actress. Her last collaboration with Habib got her a special jury mention at the prestigious National Awards. As she rattles out dialogues in chaste dakhani in the trailers of this film, the excitement levels are soaring higher by the second.
3. Aditya Roy Kapoor
Fresh from his Aashiqui 2 success, Aditya will be seen here in a role that doesn’t require him to be sloshed throughout the film. He has the fan following and the star screen presence , but can he catch up with Parineeti’s acting chops? Well, Friday would tell.
4. Yash Raj Films
The banner is synonymous with entertainment. Of late, it is also bringing in substance and a gen-next zing to their films. Good songs, good production values and amazing star power, what more can a film buff ask for on a Friday? Right!
5. Food
Films based on food are rare in Hindi cinema. The promotions of the film have extensively been around our love for food and the daawats every single meal in Indian houses end up becoming. A mouthwatering time is promised at the cinemas this weekend and we sure are hungry.
