Mary Kom Opening Day Box Office Collection

Priyanka Chopra starrer sports biopic drama "Mary Kom" based on the life of real life boxer Mary Kom hit the screens on Friday. Priyanka has been receving accolades from all quarters for her stellar performance in the film. The film has had a decent opening at the Box Office on its opening day. "Mary Kom" minted Rs. 8.20 crore on the opening day. 

"Mary Kom", directed by debutant Omung Kumar, is about a common girl from Manipur who pursues her passion for boxing against all odds and becomes a world boxing champion.

"Mary Kom" has received tax exemption in several states including Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh and Assam and Jharkhand in order to increase its viewership.
