Rohit Shetty and Karan Johar come together for Ram Lakhan remake

Karan Johar has acquired the remake rights of ’90s blockbuster film 'Ram Lakhan'. Ram Lakhan, a comedy drama from the ’90s that starred Jackie Shroff and Anil Kapoor in the lead roles was directed by Subhash Ghai. Karan Johar was very keen to remake that film and had gone ahead and acquried teh remake rights from Subhash Ghai. Karan wants to recreate on screen the bond between two brothers.

Rohit Shetty who has delivered blockbusters galore in Bollywood will be directing this iconic remake film. Rohit Shetty's latest outing Singham Returns is doing well at the Box Office and has collected over 100 crores already. This is the first time Rohit Shetty will be working for Karan Johar's "Dharma Productions". The film will hit the screens in 2016. Karan Johar announced about the project on his microblog.
