Shamitabh release date locked

Shamitabh starring Amitabh Bachchan, Dhanush and Akshara Hassan in the lead roles is directed by R Balki of 'Cheeni Kum' and 'Paa' fame. The film release date has been announced. Shamitabh will hit the screens on February 6, 2015.

Shamitabh is Dhanush's second Bollywood film after after last year's hit Raanjhanaa. This is the first time Amitabh Bachchan and Dhanush are sharing the screen space together. Shamitabh also marks the Bollywood debut of Akshara Haasan.

The soundtrack and background score is composed by Ilaiyaraaja while cinematography is handled by P. C. Sreeram. The film is produced by Eros and Balki.
