Anushka Sharma dons a 35 kg gown for Bombay Velvet

The highly anticipated project Bombay Velvet starring Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma in lead roles is directed by Anurag Kashyap. Raveena Tandon and Karan Johar are also part of the cast. ‘Bombay Velvet’ is co-produced by Phantom Films and Fox Star Studios. The film is set to hit the screens on November 28, 2014.

Anushka plays a top jazz singer from the 1950s in Bombay Velvet. She has reportedly worn an extravagant costume which weighs 35 kgs for the opening song in the film. Social media is a buzz with Anushka’s first look in the film, which shows her entering a stage set for a performance, in a green sequin couture gown with flame like gold detailing by Niharika Bhasin Khan.
