EK Villain touches 50 crore mark in the opening weekend

EK Villain storms the Box Office!!!


EK Villain one of the highly anticipated movies directed by Mohit Suri hit the screens on June 27. The film, starring Sidharth Malhotra, Shraddha Kapoor and Riteish Deshmukh has had a thunderous start at the Box office despite getting mixed reviews. 


Ek Villain is doing good business in India as well as in overseas markets. It has crossed the 50 crore mark in the opening weekend.

 

The film has earned 16.72 cr nett on the opening day. It has turned out to be the second highest opening day grosser of 2014 next to Salman Khan's 'Jai Ho'.The film has done a business of around 15 crores on the second day of the opening weekend. In the overseas market, the romantic thriller has earned approximately $1 million in just two days (Thursday & Friday).

 

Ek Villain has touched the 50 crore mark in the opening weekend itself. The film has already surpassed the opening weekend collections of Gunday, Holidya, Humshakals and 2 States. It stands at the second position next to Jai Ho.

 

 

The film has done solid business in the opening weekend. We need to wait and see if the trend continues in the weekdays too!
