3 Rascals (Nanban Telugu) Pushed out to January 26

The Telugu distributor of 3 Rascals (Nanban),Dil Raju, has decided to push the release of Nanban(Telugu) to January 26 and will not release simultaneously along with Tamil version. This difficult decision was taken primarily to avoid conflict with Mahesh Babu's Businessman, which is the most expected movie of the year. Also, Andhra Film Chamber has passed a rule recently to restrict the number of prints for dubbed movies to be less than 100. This rule was passed because of the fear of Tamil dubbed movies obliterating the Telugu industry.

Another reason for the delays is because the Telugu industry doesn't have a big market for Hindi remakes because Telugu audience usually watches most of the Hindi movies directly. So, the expectation for 3 Rascals in Telugu is not as hot as compared to previous Shankar movies. The Telugu industry is eagerly waiting to see how 3 Rascals will fare in the Telugu market given that Dil Raju has bought the Telugu rights for a hefty price before the new rules were passed.
