Thirumanam Ennum Nikkah release postponed

Thirumanam Ennum Nikkah starring Jai and Nazriya Nazim in the lead roles is directed by debutante Anees. The film was slated for release on May 15. The release has now been pushed by a week and is likely to hit the screens on May 23 or May 24. 

Thirumanam Ennum Nikkah has been censored with an 'U' certificate. Producer Aascar Ravichandran wants to get the entertainment tax exemption for the film as it has been given 'U' certificate. This is the reason for delaying the release of the film. After availing the tax exemption the film release date is expected to be announced. 

The story of the film is about a Tamil Iyengar boy falling in love with a Muslim girl. Director Anees has said that Thirumanam Ennum Nikkah will be a film that would break the myths surrounding different social and religious groups. Ghibran has scored the music.
