Producer Naga Vamsi has been vocal about his confidence in Vishwanath and Sons ever since promotions kicked off, and he reiterated that belief at the film's audio launch, comparing his hopes for the Suriya-starrer to the massive success of Allu Arjun's Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo in Tamil.

Calling it his second Tamil production, Naga Vamsi said he'd promised fans from day one that he'd bring back the "Sanjay Ramasamy" magic after a long gap. Clarifying he wasn't drawing comparisons out of arrogance, he said the team's confidence in the film runs deep enough that they're hoping it becomes their own Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo moment in Tamil cinema.

He also praised Mamitha Baiju's performance, predicting she'd strike a chord with Gen-Z viewers. Teasing a bit from the first half, he described a comedic moment involving Suriya's character and his on-screen mother — triggered by Mamitha's character — and invited audiences who've had similar mother-son moments to share their stories with him online.

In the film, Suriya plays Sanjay Vishwanath, a sharpshooter and single father in his 40s whose life is upended when a much younger woman, Maddy (Mamitha Baiju), falls for him — pushing him to confront questions of love, ambition, and what truly makes life meaningful.

For context, Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, directed by Trivikram Srinivas, was a blockbuster hit that followed a young man discovering he was the real son of a millionaire, switched at birth. The film crossed Rs 280 crore at the box office and picked up several major awards.
