Krishna Kulasekaran's 25th film finally has a title. Director Karthik Subbaraj unveiled it this Monday, along with the first and second look posters — the film is called Murder In Town, with the posters showing Krishna as a khaki-clad, salt-and-pepper-look police officer.
Written and directed by Balakrishnan, the film is produced by Mahendraraj Santhosh Kumar and Karunanithi Velappan. It marks the debut project for both producer Mahendraraj (of Manu Manthra Creations) and director Balakrishnan, who previously co-directed last year's GV Prakash starrer Rebel. Suba Venkat co-produces under the Yathra Pictures banner, alongside Sri Vishnu Creations.
The makers have billed Murder In Town as a twist-heavy, edge-of-seat crime thriller. On the technical side, the film has cinematography by Gopal Krishnan, music by Kiran Surath N, editing by Kavin Adithya, and art direction by Venkat Bala.
Filming wrapped back in January, though details about the extended cast, plot, genre, and release date are still under wraps.
Krishna, last seen in the JioHotstar series Parachute, also has The Mummy Returns coming up, directed by Jai Amar Singh. That film features Lollu Sabha Maaran, Redin Kingsley, Bjorn Surrao, Devadarshini, and Swathi Muppala.
