The trailer for Anbe Diana, the second directorial venture of Pari Elavazhagan, is out ahead of the film's July 17 theatrical release. Pari stars opposite Ramya Ranganathan in a story about a happy-go-lucky youngster who falls for an Anglo-Indian woman, only for their families to complicate matters — his mother wants her to convert to Hinduism, while her father insists he become a Christian. The result, as the trailer shows, is the couple navigating rituals from both religions, played out in a hilarious fashion.
Producer Yuvaraj Ganesan of Million Dollar Studiosshared the trailer with a warm note, promising "a sensible, heartfelt family entertainer made with honesty and love."
The film also stars Roja Selvamani, Chetan and Parithabangal Gopi, and is produced by Million Dollar Studios in association with Neo Castle Creations and Era Entertainment — the banner previously known for Good Night, Lover and Tourist Family.
MovieCrow Take: Anbe Diana trailer promises a fun-filled entertainer! Story, conflicts and emotions are shown in a hilarious way. The throwback to the good old Sun TV days is a fun nostalgic touch that works well.
