Dhanush has dropped another cryptic poster for his mystery project, teasing a full reveal on July 10. Dubbed only as DxV, the latest poster depicts a clash between battleships of the past and futuristic fighter jets, hinting at a story spanning different eras. The actor accompanied the post with the caption: "Paninthavarai Vittu Vaippan. Pagaiththavarai Nattu Vaippan." (He will forgo the beloved. He will impale the enemy.)

The 'V' in DxV has sparked widespread speculation — with Venkat Prabhu, Vetri Maaran and even Dhanush himself floated as possible directors. The Venkat Prabhu angle has gained particular traction online, with some suggesting the project could be the long-rumoured SK26 with Dhanush replacing Sivakarthikeyan.

Dhanush was last seen in Kara and will next appear in Rajkumar Periasamy's Om alongside Mammootty, Sai Pallavi and Sreeleela, releasing on October 15.
