AGS Entertainment's much-anticipated family entertainer, tentatively known as AGS 28, has finally got its official title — Blast. The first poster, released alongside the announcement, sets the tone immediately — an anime-inspired visual featuring Arjun Sarja wielding a katana, Abhirami armed with a sledgehammer, and Preity Mukhundhan — all three striking fierce kung-fu poses, united against a common enemy.
Directed by debutant Subash K Raj, a former assistant to Pradeep Ranganathan, the film went on floors in August 2025 and wrapped in February this year. While plot details remain officially under wraps with the makers describing it as a "wholesome family entertainer," Netflix had earlier hinted at the premise — a family trained to protect the powerless becomes the most dangerous obstacle of all.
The supporting cast includes Vivek Prasanna, John Kokken, Arjun Chidambaram, Pawan, Dileepan, Vinod Sagar, and Bala Hasan R. On the technical front, KGF fame composer Ravi Basrur makes his Tamil debut with Blast, with cinematography by Arun Radhakrishnan and editing by Pradeep E Ragav. Archana and Aishwarya Kalpathi serve as creative producers, with Kalpathi S Aghoram, Kalpathi S Ganesh, and Kalpathi S Suresh producing under AGS Entertainment.
