Mohanlal has reportedly completed shooting for his portions in Jailer 2, reprising his impactful cameo from the 2023 blockbuster Jailer, starring Rajinikanth and directed by Nelson.

The update gained traction after the actor’s stylist Jishad Shamsudeen hinted at the wrap on social media. While there were reports suggesting that principal photography has been completed, the film is said to be in its final stages of production.

Produced by Sun Pictures, an official release date announcement is expected from Kalanithi Maran on April 14, coinciding with Tamil New Year.

Jailer 2 brings back key cast members including Ramya Krishnan, Mirnaa, Yogi Babu, Vinayakan, and Shivarajkumar, with Jatin Sarna and Suraj Venjaramoodu joining the ensemble. As reported earlier by Moviecrow, Shah Rukh Khan is confirmed to make a cameo appearance in the sequel.
