The makers of Kara have unveiled the first look poster of Mamitha Baiju, introducing her character Selli in the Dhanush-starrer.
The poster presents Mamitha in a raw, rooted appearance, seated on the floor with a tense and worrisome expression, hinting at the emotional weight and grounded nature of her role. The makers have also confirmed that more character posters will be released in the coming days.
Directed by Vignesh Raja of Por Thozhil fame, the film is co-written with Alfred Prakash. The ensemble cast includes KS Ravikumar, Jayaram, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Karunaas, and Prithvi Pandiraj in key roles.
Backed by Vels Film International, the film marks Dhanush’s 54th outing as a lead actor. While the makers have kept plot details under wraps, earlier promotional material—featuring Dhanush surrounded by fire—suggests an intense narrative with survival elements set against a rural backdrop.
With the tagline “Sometimes, staying dangerous is the only way to stay alive,” Kara is expected to explore darker themes with a strong emotional core.
