Actor and television personality Rio Raj has taken a new step in his career by launching his production banner River Route Studios. The announcement was made through a quirky promo video, revealing that Rio will now don the producer’s hat for an upcoming film featuring YouTuber Ram Nishanth and editor-turned-actor Varun KG.

The nearly three-minute promo playfully shows Rio transitioning from actor to producer, with Ram Nishanth and Varun also being introduced as actors in the project. Notably, Varun previously worked as editor on Rio’s films Joe and Aan Paavam Pollathathu.

Rio rose to fame with the hit television serial Saravanan Meenatchi and later gained wider recognition through films like Nenjamundu Nermaiyundu Odu Raja. He also participated in Bigg Boss Tamil, which further boosted his popularity.

Meanwhile, Rio is currently shooting for Leela, a romantic entertainer directed by Ramachandran Kannan, marking another busy phase in his evolving career as both actor and producer.
