Diwali 2025 Turns Musical for Tamil Cinema 

Even though this Diwali doesn’t have any big star movie releases in theatres, it has become a true celebration for fans — with major updates, song launches, and teasers from top Tamil stars lighting up the festival week.

Major Diwali Highlights:

Suriya – Karuppu (First Single)

Suriya’s much-awaited Karuppu, directed by RJ Balaji, has been postponed to early 2026 due to technical work. However, the first single, a mass folk dance number, will release for Diwali 2025. Fans can expect an energetic performance from Suriya with music by Sai Abhyankkar. 

Thalapathy Vijay – Jana Nayagan (First Song)

The first song from Jana Nayagan, starring Thalapathy Vijay with music by Anirudh, is set to drop this Diwali. Despite minor delays, the team has confirmed that the political action film’s single will be out soon, keeping excitement high for its January 2026 release.

Silambarasan TR – Arasan (Teaser/Promo)

The promo for Arasan, directed by Vetrimaaran and starring Silambarasan TR, will premiere on October 16 at 6:02 PM, coinciding with Anirudh’s birthday. The film is set in the Vada Chennai universe, with STR in dual roles and music by Anirudh. The main shoot starts after Diwali, aiming for an early 2026 release.

Sivakarthikeyan – Parasakthi (First Song)
 Sudha Kongara’s Parasakthi, starring Sivakarthikeyan, has wrapped up shooting and is now in post-production. The first single will release as a Diwali special, while the film hits theatres for Pongal 2026.
