Superstar Rajinikanth’s August 14 release Coolie has completed one week of theatrical run worldwide, and an official announcement on the film's first week box-office collection is currently awaited from Sun Pictures. In Karnataka, a state in South India, Coolie has grossed an impressive Rs. 37.25 Cr. in its first week, making it the second-biggest first-week gross for a Tamil film in the Kannada market.
Despite the mixed word-of-mouth, Coolie has managed to secure a spot among the top-performing Tamil films in Karnataka, landing only behind Rajinikanth's own Jailer (2023), in first-week box-office numbers.
