Dhoom 3 crosses 500 crore mark

"Dhoom 3", the latest installment of Bollywood's successful action adventure franchise, has grossed Rs 501.35 crore ($83.56 million) worldwide since its release. 'Dhoom 3' has managed to surpass all possible box office collections records, be it 'Chennai Express', 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani' or 'Krrish 3'. 

The production house, Yash Raj Films (YRF), issued a statement on Monday confirming the news. "Dhoom 3 continues to create history at both the Indian and overseas box office. It is now officially the first Indian film to cross Rs 500 crore worldwide," read the statement.

The film has grossed Rs 351.29 crore in India, while in the overseas market, it has collected Rs 150.06 crore ($25.01 million). The collection totals Rs 501.35 crore.

Dhoom 3 starring Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif, Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra is directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya and produced by Aditya Chopra.
