While Superstar Rajinikanth's Coolie is smashing the pre-sales with overseas advance bookings, focus has now shifted to the domestic market as Coolie bookings are now open in Kerala, India. Coolie's first show in Kerala begins at 6 AM, and popular ticket site BookMyShow has recorded around 8K+ tickets sold per hour in the Malayalam state. Haasan Meenu Associates is the Kerala distributor of Coolie. 

A multi-starrer action thriller that tells the story of a mysterious man (Rajinikanth), who takes a stand against a corrupt syndicate exploiting and abusing the workers of a port town, Coolie marks the debut collaboration of Superstar Rajinikanth with popular filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj. The film is produced on a massive budget by Sun Pictures. 

Censored A, Coolie comes with a runtime of 2 hours 49 minutes 57 seconds, and also stars Shruthi Haasan, Sathyaraj, Upendra, Soubin Shahir, Nagarjuna, Aamir Khan, Pooja Hegde in a cameo, among others. The technical crew of Coolie includes Anirudh Ravichander for music, Anbariv for the high octane stunts, Girish Gangadharan for cinematography, and Philomin Raj for edits.
