Director Reveals Plot of Maareesan

The director of the upcoming film Maareesan, Sudheesh Sankar, has revealed the storyline, which blends drama, suspense, and emotion. In the film, Vadivelu plays a man suffering from Alzheimer’s disease. He withdraws a large amount of money from an ATM, which is noticed by Fahadh Faasil (FaFa). FaFa initially plans to steal the money, but when Vadivelu says he needs to go to Thiruvanamalai, FaFa offers to take him on a bike ride from Nagercoil. As the journey unfolds, the two develop a strong bond. The main conflict is whether FaFa will go through with the theft or change his mind due to their growing friendship.

Directed by Sudheesh Sankar, the film stars Vadivelu and Fahadh Faasil, along with Kovai Sarala and Vivek Prasanna in key roles. The music is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, adding to the film’s appeal. Produced by RB Choudary under the Super Good Films banner, "Maareesan" is set for a theatrical release in July 2025.
