Kantara: Chapter 1 is officially set to hit theatres on October 2, coinciding with Gandhi Jayanti. The makers released a striking new poster on Rishab Shetty’s birthday, reaffirming the release date.

After directing films like Ricky, Kirik Party, and Sa.Hi.Pra.Shaale Kasaragodu, Rishab Shetty wrote, directed, and starred in Kantara (2022), which turned into a pan-Indian blockbuster. His performance earned him the National Film Award for Best Actor.

Following the success of the fantasy action thriller, the team announced a prequel titled Kantara: Chapter 1. This next chapter will delve deeper into the world of Kantara, with Rishab Shetty returning in the lead and behind the camera.
