The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) in India has called for a complete discontinuation of Pakistani content on OTT platforms, media streaming platforms, and intermediaries operating in India. The move comes after the Indian Army confirmed in an official statement on May 8, 2025, that the Pakistan military attempted drone and missile attacks on 15 Indian cities, 8 of which are in the Indian state of Punjab, 3 in Jammu and Kashmir, 3 in Rajasthan, and 1 in Gujarat.
