Retro starring Suriya in the lead is a Tamil language gangster action that releases in theaters on May 1, 2025. With only 23 days left for the movie's worldwide release, Retro is all the buzz right now. 

While Netflix has bagged Retro's OTT rights in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada languages for a whopping Rs. 80 Cr, there have been no updates regarding Retro's satellite rights sale. Sun TV is said to be in talks to buy the Retro satellite rights, though an official announcement on the closing awaits.  

A joint production venture of Suriya's 2D Entertainment, and Karthik Subbaraj's Stone Bench Films, Retro is written and directed by Karthik Subbaraj, and has Santhosh Narayanan for music. Sakthi Film Factory is presenting the film in Tamil Nadu.
