Retro, Suriya's 44th movie is the actor's home production, and the film written, directed, and co-produced by Karthik Subbaraj releases in theaters on May 1, 2025. Marking the occassion of Eid al-Fitr, one of the two main festivals in the Islam religion, the makers of Retro unveiled a new poster featuring Suriya as 'the one'.
It was also revealed that Retro's Kerala release is by Vaika Merryland.
