The overseas rights of Madharasi, actor Sivakarthikeyan's upcoming film with director AR Murugadoss has been bagged by Phars Films, announced Madharasi film's production banner, Sri Laksmi Movies on Tuesday. Madharasi, titled Dil Madharasi in Hindi, is scheduled to release in theaters this year. 

Madharasi has Rukmini Vasanth playing female lead, Vidyut Jammwal playing villain, Biju Menon, and Vikranth playing cops, and Shabeer Kallarakkal in a pivotal role. Madharasi has been described by director AR Murugadoss as an 'out and out action film with a beautiful love story wrapped inside it.'

The movie has Anirudh Ravichander for music, Kevin Kumar for action, Sudeep Elamon for cinematography, and Sreekar Prasad for edits.
