Mythri Movie Makers, the production banner behind Pushpa 2: The Rule have now addressed the tragedy caused due to overcrowding and stampede at Sandhya Theater in Hyderabad, Telangana. Late Wednesday night, Pushpa 2 lead actors Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna had come to greet fans at the Sandhya Theater during the premiere of their December 5 release Pushpa 2: The Rule.

Chaos is reported to have broke out when fans rushed to see their favourite stars, especially since there was no prior information about the arrival of the said actors. A lax in the security arrangements by the theatre management hence resulted in the death of a woman named Revathi, who had attended the Pushpa 2 premiere screening with her husband Bhaskar, and two children.

The overcrowding and stampede is reported to have suffocated Revathi and her children, and they fell unconscious after being pushed by the crowd. A senior Hyderabad police official has stated in the media that Police personnel conducted Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) on Revathi and her son, and shifted them to a hospital, where Revathi died and her son is undergoing treatment.

Addressing the same, Mythri Movie Makers have now put out a statement on their official X handle, and it reads, "We are extremely heartbroken by the tragic incident during last night’s screening. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and the young child undergoing medical treatment. We are committed to standing by them and extending all possible support during this difficult time. With deep sorrow, Mythri Movie Makers"
