On Saturday, Lyca Productions announced that star actor Rajinikanth has begun dubbing for his October 10 release Vettaiyan. The announcement was marked by a video release, which also revealed details like Vettaiyan's Tamil Nadu distributors, Red Giant Movies, and the character names of Vettaiyan cast. 

While Rajinikanth plays the tiular role Vettaiyan, Bollywood veteran Amitabh Bachchan plays a headmaster character named Ashok. Fahadh Faasil whose character in Vettaiyan has so far been only spotted in floral shirts, is named 'Battery'.

Previously actress Manju Warrier had revealed that she plays Rajinikanth aka Vettaiyan's wife in the movie. Actress Dushara Vijayan is said to be donning the role of Rajinikanth's sister in the film. A character names Magistrate Lakshmi is also revealed in the video, but it remains to be seen which actor has donned this role.

Vettaiyan's ensemble also includes names like Rana Daggubati, Rohini, Rao Ramesh, Ramesh Thilak, Rakshan, GM Sundar, Abhirami, among others. The film is slated to hit theater screens in Tamil, Telugu, Hindu, and Kannada languages.
