Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam (NEEK) is actor Dhanush's third film as director following Raayan (2024), and Pa Paandi (2017). The film, a romantic comedy had its first single release titled Golden Sparrow on Friday. Featuring debut lead actor Pavish, Anikha Surendran, Priya Prakash Varrier, Mathew Thomas, and actress Priyanka Mohan in a special dance appearance, the Golden Sparrow song is an earwormy bop from composer GV Prakash.

Golden Sparrow's lyricist Arivu sings the song alongside Dhanush, GV Prakash and main singer Sublahshini. They with the exception of Dhanush, have made a special appearance for the lyric video of Golden Sparrow. NEEK is a production venture of Dhanush's Wunderbar Films, and RK Productions.
