Coolie starring Rajinikanth in the lead is an upcoming action thriller, written and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, and produced by Sun Pictures. Coolie's cast is being officially revealed since August 28, 2024, and following Manjummel Boys fame Malayalam actor Soubin Shahir, Telugu senior star Nagarjuna has now been revealed to be part of the film. 

Nagarjuna plays a character named Simon in Coolie, and this was revealed alongside a swag character poster for the Tollywood actor.  Coolie is currently being filmed in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. The movie has so far shot in places like Hyderabad, Telengana and Chennai, Tamil Nadu. 

Coolie is scheduled to release in 2025 in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and Kannada languages, in standard and IMAX formats. The technical crew of the film includes Anirudh Ravichander for music, Girish Gangadharan for cinematography, and Philomin Raj for the edits.
