Nag Ashwin directed Telugu multi-starrer Kalki 2898 AD with Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan in the lead, has released in theaters worldwide today. Tamil star actor Kamal Haasan plays the villain in this movie, which is centered around the birth of Kalki, Lord Vishnu's tenth and final avatar according to Hindu scripts.

Kamal Haasan's Supreme Yaskin character is an interpretation of demon Kali from the Kali Yuga, who according to Hindu scripts loses his mortal body after a war with the good forces. Kali does not die and keeps escaping through time and space to live upto the Kali Yuga.

Kalki 2898 AD showcases Supreme Yaskin as an evil force with no humane physical form, much like demon Kali. Nag Ashwin's interpretation of Yaskin is however given a Voldemort twistand Kamal Haasan's shrivelled character is shown reliant on serums and scientists for his existence.

Despite limited screen-presence in the 3 hour 56 second long Kalki 2898 AD, Kamal Haasan's unique characterization, and his disdain for the human race has successfully left a mark. Here's how the general audience have reacted to Kamal Haasan's tyrannical role from Kalki 2898 AD:
